There is a reason for this.
I accept VERY FEW Weight Management Clients.
Based on my experience over more than 30 years, puzzling over why some clients responded so differently to similar sessions, techniques and methodologies, and after many long discussions with other professionals, I am now firmly of the view that 90% of you 'Seeking Help With My Weight' WANT to FAIL!
That's right.
Though the Majority of you reading this WOULD LIKE your body to be different, You Want a Magic Wand to Transform you into a Healthy Eating Happy Person BUT DON'T REALLY WANT to make the Deep Inner Changes Necessary to Allow that to Happen.
What the Majority WANT is for Hypnotherapy to Fail so you have the EXCUSE that 'I've Tried Everything, EVEN hypnosis, and nothing worked. IT'S NOT MY FAULT'.
I'm not saying that this is a conscious plan.
Its the result of an internal process
Option One 'Carry On As Before' - It hasn't killed me and its familiar'.
Option Two 'Get Out Of My Comfort Zone, Risk Failure, Look at Areas of My Life I've been Avoiding for Years, Etc'.
To the Mind its an Easy Decision, Not Changing is Easier than Changing - and Staying in Familiar Territory is Definitely the Safer Choice.
As that sank in,
I Came to Appreciate a Simple Fact:
Your Body Shape is the result of Your Behaviour, and
Your Behaviour is the Result of your Beliefs
AND
No Matter how Good a Hypnotist I am or Can Become,
I Cannot MAKE YOU Change Your behaviour.
BUT
I CAN HELP YOU Change Your Beliefs.
A subtle but profoundly different task and one I'm delighted to undertake.
To do so, I work with you to discover, erase and replace the obsolete, misguided or incongruous beliefs about yourself that have been railroading your behaviour.
Some of you, like me, already know that your eating habits have nothing to do with hunger but are mostly inappropriate automatic behaviours for dealing with unhappiness or an unfulfilled need for comfort in other areas of your life.
Some of you, recognise the truth that the simple and only reason your body is the shape it is, is because you feed it the wrong amount of and/or type of food, that's it, Period.
Some of you also accept that it is outside your conscious control or you would have already made the changes to how you live your life.
I, like you, know that there is No Miraculous 'Diet' or Magical 'Exercise Regime', nor will any Amount of Desire to Make that Permanent Change in How You 'Deal With Life' have any Lasting Effect until you have Admitted to Yourself those facts and are willing to 'do the work' exploring, exposing and re-programming your inner beliefs.
